Oracle buys Sun
While IBM was in the news, Oracle made the news with regard to a merger with Sun. Oracle announced April 20th that they have entered into an agreement to purchase Sun Microsystems (see Oracle Press Release) . If all goes well, the acquisition is expected to be accomplished by this summer (2009).

IBM and Sun - NOT
For now, it appears that the IBM/Sun merger is dead. Read all about the reasons why the deal - at least for now- has failed at Bloomberg.com. So what's next for Sun? Jack Schofield offers up some opinions at
