Oracle buys Sun

While IBM was in the news, Oracle made the news with regard to a merger with Sun. Oracle announced April 20th that they have entered into an agreement to purchase Sun Microsystems (see Oracle Press Release) . If all goes well, the acquisition is expected to be accomplished by this summer (2009).
